Terms of Service

What Klaro is

Klaro is a self-service tool that helps you prepare an income-tax computation for ITR-2 (Assessment Year 2026-27). It reads the tax documents you upload, applies the provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1961, and produces a computation report. Klaro does not file your return, you review the figures and file them yourself on the Income Tax portal.

No professional advice

Klaro is a computation tool, not a chartered accountant, tax advisor, or legal advisor. Its output is prepared with care and tested against real returns, but tax law is complex and situation-specific. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying every figure before you file. For anything unusual in your situation, consult a qualified professional.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the documents you upload, for keeping your account credentials secure, and for the final return you file. Klaro's computation is only as accurate as the documents and confirmations you provide.

Limitation of liability

Klaro is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any tax, interest, penalty, or loss arising from your use of the computation, including errors in extraction, classification, or your own inputs. Your remedy if you are dissatisfied is to stop using the service.

Your account and data

You can delete all your data at any time from within the app. See our Privacy Policy for what we store.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
