ITR-2 AND ITR-3 CAPITAL GAINSAY 2026-27 BELATED AND REVISED FILINGAY 2027-28 ADVANCE TAX
Your capital gains,
computed correctly.
One sale, one count. Klaro reconciles your AIS, broker and mutual fund statements, and adds salary and other income.
Free on screen. ₹299 to download.
The reconciliation
The same sale, reported three ways. Counted once.
Your AIS, your broker and your fund house describe one redemption three different ways. Klaro counts it once, and shows the figure it used and why. More documents sharpen the cost. They never corrupt the total.
One redemption, two cost figures. Klaro used MF Central: on cost, the fund house’s per-lot record outranks the AIS.

Advance tax, AY 2027-28
45% due by 15 September 2026
Next year’s return, on this year’s income. A gain after an instalment date pays with the instalments that remain.
One email, one date, nothing else. Klaro will tell you what to pay before the deadline.
What the engine does
Counted once
Every sale enters the registry once. Each new statement claims that entry instead of creating another. One source or five, the same total.
The figure it used, and why
Where documents disagree, you see every figure, the one Klaro used, and the reason. Every number can name its document.
Both regimes, and the interest
Old and new computed on every return, the lower tax shown. 234C accrues quarter by quarter from your actual gains. 234B runs on any shortfall.
You file it yourself
The download maps every figure to its field on the portal. Klaro prepares the computation. Filing stays with you.
Rules, not vibes.
Your tax is computed by deterministic tax law, section by section, never by a language model.
FROM A REAL RETURN
“Klaro made filing my ITR-2 surprisingly easy and cost-effective. It calculated my capital gains, put them into the right categories, 111A, 112A and the quarters, and the step-by-step guide helped me file. I was done in about 20 minutes, for a fraction of what I usually pay filing apps each year. More than anything, this time I actually understood and filed my own return.”
A note from the founder
Klaro started with my dad’s return.
We spent two weekends reconciling his stock and mutual fund transactions across the AIS and his capital gains statements. At one point the AIS showed ₹3,00,000 where two other statements showed ₹1,00,001. Nothing we tried could tell us which number to trust.
That made me wonder: why can’t an engine simply reconcile your statements, show you what it used and why, and calculate your return once you answer the few things documents can’t tell it?
So I built Klaro, to make filing your own taxes less tedious, more transparent, and easier to trust.

Refusal is a feature
When the sources don’t agree, Klaro doesn’t guess.
Where two documents state a different cost for the same sale, Klaro resolves it by a stated authority order, the fund house’s per-lot record before a broker’s statement before the AIS, and shows the figure it used and why. Klaro flags only what it cannot resolve safely, for you to review.
A confident wrong total is worse than no total.
Some things cannot be computed safely from documents alone. A share buyback, for instance. Klaro stops, gives you the reason and what would resolve it. Never a figure it cannot stand behind.
Capital gains, salary, house property and other income, across both regimes, for ITR-2 and ITR-3. Business profit is the figure you declare. Klaro prepares the computation; it does not file your return.
